Struggling With Food

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

These last couple of days I have been hungry all the time as well as craving sweets. I have been unable to keep within my calorie guidelines. I hope it passes soon and that tomorrow is a better day. Please think healthy thoughts for me.

I'm right with WatchMeGo. If you MUST have sweet, go for FRESH or frozen from fresh fruit. The other day, I made a dessert for my kids that involved banana, frozen strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, locally made low fat vanilla yogurt, and raw cacao powder. It was the tastiest, most filling dessert EVER, and my formerly picky 10.5 daughter she could eat that instead of ice cream ANY day.

I find I'm not as hungrier the days I eat non-processed foods. I also try to have protein at every snack, and certainly at every meal.

Of course, some days are just hungrier than others!

Hang in there!

Hang in there. We all have times like that. Try to find something that will satisfy the craving without adding a lot of calories.

I have a sweet tooth at night and have Fiber One chocolate cereal with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 80 for the cereal and 30 for the milk for at night when I get really hungry and figure it in my total calories. It seems to work for me. Good luck. emoticon
