I don't know how to break this cycle.

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

I hate being depressed. But here I am again at the bottom. I was feeling so good and then yesterday the tears came and I cant stop crying. I stayed in bed most of today and cried. I have never been like this in my life. It makes me feel absolutely crazy. And I definitely dont like it.

Sorry I wasn't around last week to respond but hope you are feeling perkier now. Depression is not an easy thing to rid yourself of and I agree with the others that it is worth a chat with your Dr to try and keep it at bay.

I would definitely talk to a doctor or two, sooner than later. This kind of stuff does not take care of itself without some sort of action or treatment plan. It doesn't necessarily need to be medication, but some sort of action needs to be taken. In my experience, people always wait too long to seek help. So, please take the first step today; you deserve to be well.

I agree with the others. It can also be a vitamin deficiency. Not sure how old you are. When I was in my mid-thirtys I developed severe PMS and had a terrible emotional cycle. Ended up taking a B vitamin and I think magnesium. It's been a while. About 5 years ago I started have mood swings again only it was peri - menopause. Exercise, water and staying calm help. When it first started I was much moodier than I am now.
The winter months can also bring on a vitamin D deficiancy which affects different people in different ways. Talking to a good doctor will help figure it out. emoticon

Sounds like when I was going through the various stages of menopause . . . . by all means, talk with your Doctor about blood tests, etc. Life is too short.

Hope you're back to your wonderful self soon. emoticon

I am so sorry you are feeling sad. Have you had a MD check your hormones? Mine checked mine. They were all messed up which affected my moods, weight, enegry levels. She does free phone consults. If you want let me know.

She did lots of labs to figure out what was going on. It was a combination of many hidden isues that other MD's miss. emoticon

I'm so sorry you are depressed. I have fought depression for years and finally found I get a better endorphin lift with an hour on the treadmill so I stopped the prozac i had taken for 15 years. Hang in there and try to exercise. It DOES get better...
