Blog-Day 4

I need to slow down when I eat. I shove it in way to fast, and don't really finish chewing the food sometimes already in my mouth. I live alone, so I don't know why I feel I have to get done so quickly.
I choked a couple of weeks ago (couldn't swallow, or bring it up). Scared me, and I did a self himelech, so I am much more aware of this bad habit now.
I am working on it!

    One way to slow down eating is put your knife and fork down chew slowly and swallow before you load the fork again. If eating a sandwich put the sandwich down between bites and pick it up again when you have swallowed. It soon becomes a habit and you really do slow down I di this all the time now.

    That must have been so scary! Please slow down!
    Pacing oneself while eating can be difficult. But, slowing down can really help to enjoy food.

    I'm a quick eater too - I sometimes manage to slow myself down but revert very quickly. I blame it on timed school lunches when I was young!

    When you slow down, you will find you enjoy your food more. When we live alone there are many things we have to be careful about. Now you realize the need, I am sure you will slow down. emoticon emoticon
