Living the Good Life #4 - A work in Progress

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

I didn't stick to my meal plan last night. I knew my meal wasn't something my husband would eat. Trying to make separate meals is hard when we don't see eye to eye on nutrition. Instead of sweet potato, black beans, and green beans, I had beef ravioli with two slices of garlic toast. Sounds okay, but pasta and parmesan cheese are a weakness. I thought about those 4 pounds I want to keep off and had a second helping anyway.

There are a few things I noticed about yesterday that didn't help. Next time, I'll try to remember to pack up the leftovers before I sit down to eat. I also need to make sure I drink enough water and have a midday snack, so I'm not famished by dinnertime.

Today is a new day. I kicked it if with a 60 minute workout and since I didn't have my planned dinner, I know what I'm having for lunch!

My husband wont always eat what I cook for myself either. So some days I cook what I want and place an empty bowl with a box of cereal at his place setting.
Keep trying, you'll get there.

Your right, trying to deal with two different meals is not easy to say the least. You saw where you were off and now know what to do the next time. You started off with a great exercise routine!!! You will get there! emoticon June

Just keep moving forward and it will happen.

When I cook I use the leftovers for lunch the next day so sometimes I will serve dinner and at the same time serve out the lunch for the next day so there aren't any leftovers sitting out on the stove to tempt me.

It is hard to get everybody to eat the same meal, I have to try to keep everyone happy out of 7 people.

Great workout you got in and sounds like a great lunch you will be having today :)
