Day #254 - Over the Monday hump ... rolling on

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

Good morning/afternoon/evening Sparkers, thanks for your support as always.
Yesterday workout: Elliptical 60 minutes; video 20 minutes; 1.25 minute plank (collapsed 3 times but finished); 26 squats; 6 jacks; bodybuilding routine (24 push-ups knees down, overhead press 3x12, fly 3x12-5# weights)
Today: Wogging; 1.25 plank; 30 squats; 6 jacks or more.

Journaled all of my food yesterday and I really messed my day up. I ate not one but 2 donuts that cost me almost 800 calories emoticon . Then I got offered a cupcake in the afternoon but I turned it down. I then got a taco salad from Taco Bell - when did they start putting rice in the taco salad?! I was upset and disappointed when I got home and saw that. I only ate the lettuce, tomato and beef and a portion of the shell. I was hungry in the middle of the nite because it wasn't that much (probably equal to one taco). Geeezzz money wasted, guess I should have cooked huh emoticon

I'm a bit sore this morning in my upper back and arms. The strength training routine I got from bodybuilding.com is 8 weeks. Its meant to be used with gym machines as well as without. I don't use the equipment at the gym as it's usually packed with serious lifters that time of day. I read a few articles and advice on getting the most out of strength training/exercise. One piece of advice that stuck with me was that most women don't push themselves beyond their comfort zone or what they "think" they can lift or do. The article explains how you know if you're lifting enough and how you should feel by the last set and when to move on to more weight.

My niece told me about this site last year. I started but stopped because of health challenges I was facing then. I'm hoping to get a full body workout to build muscle and burn more fat, more muscle, more burn and also reshapes your body.

I'm loving the SparkPeople videos during lunch as well. I haven't tried any out of my chair but I may do that today. I need to give my arms a rest today so I have to find something to work the lower body. I detest lunges but I promised myself yesterday I would push my way and get over that mindset. I did take my pictures last nite and was so uggghhh at my thighs, and tummy. Although my thighs have shrunk they are wobbling like the wobble and the cellulite.... the inner bootie between the thighs is minimal but there. Time, time, patience, patience...as for my tummy well I don't know. It's still big, round from the waist up. I definitely have a waistline and then there's the bottom pouch that I can store a baby kangaroo in...

Clothes on I look pretty good, clothes off well...it's under construction. Well that's it, on to my day now.
