I managed to get up early this morning at 7 and got my walk in with Daisy early. I£ve had a busy morning teaching and will teaching again in half an hour and then until 7 this evening. Some of the teaching is exercise because I play along with my students on the piano or flute, but I hope to get some strength training in this evening. This is something I have rather neglected and there is no excuse really. Reading blogs from other members of the team have reinforced my growing awareness that I can't just rely on walking to get me to my target weight.
Before I joined the gym I invested in equipment to use in my home - kettle bells were recently added to join the dumbells, resistence bands, medicine ball and the mini trampoline I picked up second hand in the new year. I also have several DVDs including SparkPeople Cardioblast, 28 day boot camp and Total body sculpting. So really no excuse. I aim ot make a start this evening and continue for the rest of the week.
Sounds great. You are mixing up your workout. I found that when I put something new in I tend to start to lose instead of just setting still. I can't wait until the outside pool is open in our little town. I will be able to go and work out in the water every day and as long as I want or at least it will be over an hour that I can spend in the water. Right now I can only spend an hour in the water and my time is up to make room from the college swim team to practice.. Oh, well I am doing what I can, but I really think that I will be able to do more when the weather gets better. I am not putting off moving but I feel that I will be able to do more when the weather gets better. You are doing so great!!!! Keep up the good work!!! 1605 days ago
Good luck with the weights. I use the video's on SP, love coach Nicole's workouts! They range form fairly easy to really difficult. I just mix them up. You could try the 7 day boot camp video's. I had a blast with them a few weeks ago. I do think we need to not only walk but work our muscles and get stronger... Have fun!!! 1605 days ago
