***** 3 gratitudes **********
I am thankful for the lovely thick flakes of snow this morning. It was so beautiful that it conquered my horrible Monday morning attitude.

I am thankful for caramel macchiatos. So delish.

I am thankful for getting off work early tonight.

***** Journaling **********
Our Arts class was one of the best classes. We did our arts presentations. We started with our nutrition presentation. We showed our video and then the scrapbook pages and then the mural. People really liked it and Michelle who teaches Home Ec wanted to use the video for future classes and took a picture of our food label mural for a potential project for her students. Then the next group showed a video on school violence and sang a song. It was very moving. The next group did some dramatic scenes about bullying and ended with a photo presentation while playing a song. It was awesome. I really loved the photo shoot. The last group did a presentation on revolution. There were different characters telling their story. The first was performance poetry of a First Nation’s mother fighting protesting in the Idle No More movement. Then there was a video set up of people telling their story. One was a girl who grew up in Cuba during the revolution. The next was an Irish revolutionist with the IRA in the early 1900’s and then Neda Soltani who’s picture was broadcast as the murdered protester and had to seek asylum because the Iranian government wanted her to pretend the killing was all a hoax. Then there was a transvestite talking about going to the Stonewall Hotel to be with his people where he could have fun and be accepted and described from his perspective the Stonewall riots leading to the movement for gay and lesbian civil rights. They were all fiction but based on real people and facts and it was done so well that it seemed so real. The video would be an excellent thing to show students and then have them think? How far would you defend your rights and beliefs? Is violence ever appropriate? It was amazing. It was such a good class.

***** Exercise **********
Bali dance workout 16 mins on sparkpeople. Note to self. Wear two bras next time. There was a lot of hopping around that I did not expect.

***** Meditation **********
20 minutes of Yoga

***** RAK **********
I took our mural to give to the Healthy Eating Alliance but it was falling apart so I took it home to repair before giving it away.

You know you’re 80’s old school when you know who Max Headroom is, and where his name came from. – I do know who he is but not sure about the name unless it is because only his head was showing. He was a computerized character back when there wasn’t anything like that. Even animation was not computerized at that point. They used computers but still worked with artist’s drawings for cartoons. Nothing like today for sure.
