Day 3) What are you doing to encourage yourself and keep on track?
(The habit I am working on is finding alternatives to emotional eating.)

Encouraging myself has always been tough for me. I can cheer on everybody else but when it comes to me I tend to be critical. So I am working with positive affirmations, using my journal to vent and encourage myself as well as drawing inspiration from my Sparkfriends and team mates.

Realize that you are a strong and wonderful person. Ask your close friends and family to write what positives they see in you! Ask them why they love you! Put the comments in a collage and read them when you need to. The more you take care of you, the better you'll feel about yourself! emoticon

Idea's I have to stop emotional eating are: Drink a glass of water when you feel like you want to eat that'll fill you up a bit and be better for you is one idea. My emotional eating time is night time after dinner, though I am trying not to eat after 7pm a good rule of thumb I think!

So in order to combat that I am drinking more green tea, Ginseng tea at night after 7pm and going to bed earlier which is good also then I am not up mindlessly munching away on junk, that is not loving my body!

You can do it and will do it for yourself. It's Your turn now!

Take care,

Paula emoticon

YOU are wonderful and just taking time to be active in this challenge is an awesome accomplishment! I'm sure your body is thanking you for it! Now, just one day at a time (or even one moment at a time).

I think that most of us here are to hard on ourselves. Myself included. Keep up the good work. I post an affirmation on my bathroom mirror to force myself to at least look at it every day.

Great ways to encourage and inspire yourself. I like Chocohippo's thought... I think I need to borrow that bit of advice.
Keep at it.

You don't mean to be, but you are hard on yourself. YOU are special and need to take care of yourself. Also, forgiveness is key. Have a great week!

Maybe pretend you are someone else and you'll be more supportive of yourself?
