Well, I did return to the CrossFit gym (or box it's called) for my 30 minute 1:1 personal training. I was a bit more prepared mentally this time.. and I made it.. I was shaky shaky shaky but didn't quit.
I love this trainer.. he's the closest thing to the Biggest Loser style I've ever had.. he makes me stretchhhhhhh.. he challenges me and motivates me and most importantly makes me believe I can do it!
Tonight the intense part of the workout were intervals using the kettlebell and a big rubber band that I put around my hips. The trainer held on to the back and I pulled him like a sled dog across the gym - on the balls of my feet! It was crazy hard but fun! I had to lean really far forward (and trust that I wasn't going to fall on my face) with him pulling back on the rubber band. So I did 15 KB swings and then ran like a sled dog up and back.. then 10 swings ran up and back.. then 5 swings and sled dog up and back. It took me 4 minutes and 24 seconds. So, now the next time I'll see if I can beat my time. Isn't that cool??
I'm following the Paleo diet right now.. and I'll see how I do.. not terrifically excited about that but hey? nothing ventured.. .the only "cheat" I'm doing now is using splenda in my tea.. but I'll elminate that next week.. right now, I'm doing enough.
