That was me this morning prepping for my CT scan. Don't I look THRILLED, lol?

So, as you can see I had my abdominal CT today. Got the results back and much to my surprise he gave me the "all clear." No stone was seen, and my dilated ureter is no longer dilated. YEAH for good news!! My appendix is normal, so is my gallbladder, and aside from a few non threatening ovarian cysts, all is well in my female zone as well! The consensus is I must have passed the stone over the weekend. HALLELUJIAH!!!! That diagnosis makes sense I suppose. I didn't physically see a stone, but they can be tiny and hard to see... and yesterday was by far the worst day pain wise. I'm just SOOO glad it seems to have resolved itself!

I still have a good amount of sharp pain in my side, but the theory there is that has to do with the kidney infection/residual inflammation from the dilated ureter and *should* subside in a few days. Fingers CROSSED that comes to fruition!!!

With all my health issues in the last 6 weeks my overall attention to my diet was pretty awful. I was not exactly minding my P's and Q's. In fact, full disclosure, I tested the theory that lots of cookie dough could cure kidney stones... FYI, it doesn't.. Or does it???? Hmmmm.

Anyways, now that I've beat hyperthyroidism and kidney stones, and proven that all cookie dough results in is making me look like a can of busted biscuits, I'm ready to put this allllll behing me and get back in line. Its safe to say that in the last 6 weeks, my new work pants I was proud of a few blogs ago aren't really an option to wear to work at this very moment, and the scale has gone up about 10 pounds. Darn sicknesses and comfort food!!! Sheesh. Being sick is HARD, all will power goes out the window when it takes all your energy just to make it through the day!

But enough, in order to get better faster I need to treat my body like the temple it is, and hopefully prevent future sickness in the process. Hubby and I spent tonight on my vegetarian pinterest board putting together a meal plan and shopping list. Tomorrow we head to the store for some great, clean and healthy ingredients for a nutrient rich vegetarian week!

In other exciting news, I received an e-mail today requesting an interview to be on a TV show that showcases local restaurants. It was so random and so funny. We have this show in AZ where 3 people each recommend their favorite restaurant. All 3 people eat at all three places and then they have a round table review of each. A year and a half ago I submitted a recommendation, and just heard back. How fun would that be if I was picked? Its just a preliminary interview to see if they'd want to use me and my recommendation. Filming wouldn't be for a couple months either so I have time to get my @ss into gear to be "camera ready" LOL.

Here's to getting back in the game and re-re-losing that 10 pounds :)

    I'm glad to hear that your ct scan went well:) I hope your pain level diminishes ASAP!!! As far as the tv show thing goes they would be insane not to "use" you you are gorgeous and from the looks of the pictures of your recipes you have excellent taste in food emoticon Thanks for sharing those by the way. Cheering you on as you re lose the 10 lbs emoticon

Glad to hear that your CT went well and there's no serious problems. It's really hard to think about healthy eating and staying fit when you feel bad or are in pain. So no need to worry about those 10 pounds. You'll be back on track before you know it and they'll be gone.

    I am sure you are very relieved! So glad to hear that you are on the mend! I gained about 10 pounds the end of last year largely due to getting sick and staying sick for almost a month. So, I understand completely! However, we will both lose that weight and then some before summer gets here! emoticon

    Being sick does suck the life out of my motivation to eat healthy too... it's such a catch 22 because we need to eat right to get better faster too!!!

I'm glad that everything seems to have righted itself (almost!) and you sound so much better!!!

Those pics look amazing!! I can't wait to make the first dish too! Maybe we should start a recipe club... and we each make one recipe and discuss the results :)

The TV show thing sounds awesome. I would love to try new restaurants around town and then be interviewed about them. I am very picky about which restaurants are worth my dollars emoticon

    So glad to hear that the stone has passed, and that the pain should be over with soon!

As far as the 10 lbs - you've lost it before, you'll lose it again. You got this!

Oh... and that first meal looks insanely delicious... I'm going to go check that out. Thanks for the inspiration!
