The ups and downs of life!

Monday, March 04, 2013

Life is just too much sometimes.

I am still mourning the loss of the dear professor (my elder care client for over 3 years). emoticon
Yet, I am so thoroughly enjoying my temporary status as a truly retired person. emoticon
My hip bursitis is bad again. emoticon
Probably because I spend so much of this wonderful new free time at the gym, where I am so very happy. emoticon
My weight does not change no matter what I do. emoticon
Yet, I feel so great about my very healthy-whole foods-home cooked-lottsa fruits and veggies and very active way of life. emoticon
It is possible- just possible- that we may very soon be facilitating my darling (slightly disabled) 25 yr old daughter's first independent living situation (actually a house sharing). emoticon emoticon emoticon

See what I mean? emoticon

Sounds like you are loving life right now!! Good for you!! Hope the daughter's move works out!! We facilitated my non-disabled son's living arrangements for quite awhile. Better than having him living here! emoticon Actually, he ended up living with us for about a year anyway!!

I do , I do. We lurch along from crisis to crisis, awestruck by the interstices of joy and beauty.

It's the ups and downs of life that keep life interesting, isn't it? I mourn the loss of your dear professor with you, and I rejoice in the good you have in your life.

Wow - talk about ups and downs! Exciting opportunity for your daughter, but must be hard for you and DH. Hope your hip calms down a bit; you're probably right that the extra exercise might be aggravating it. Do you take glucosamine sulfate? Our doctor recommended it to Peter years ago for arthritis problems in shoulders and hips, and it helped him a lot. I've been taking it for years too. It takes a while to start to feel the difference, but might be worth trying. As far as I know there are no contraindications to taking it, but you could check with your doctor.

Excited to hear about your DD. Big step. I know you will support her.
Yep, up and down is just life isn't it.
At least my DH has been good for a couple of drama. I like those days. I like living the peaceful life.
Have a terrific day.

Too bad for the professor, but now you can concentrate on your own health.

If you're tracking your food and exercise accurately, have you checked with your Dr. to see if there's a physical/medical reason for the changes not impacting your weight?

    Isn't that life?

My dad is terminally ill yet I'm so thrilled with my 5-week-old granddaughter.

I guess all we can do is celebrate the good, and deal with the bad! Count our blessings and face our challenges!!
