And We're Back To Monday....

Monday, March 04, 2013

Monday is here again. And I didn't do jack over the weekend, except to read 8 (yes..you read that right EIGHT!) books on my Kindle app. Keep in mind a lot of Kindle books aren't like...a 1000 pages long. But boy...do these Amazon writers cram a LOT into a small amount of pages. I couldn't stop reading them. Five were in one series. And the other 3 are part of a 4 book series. I'm on book 4 now. Of course they were of the...um hm...trashy variety. OK so..they also had good stories going on. Some of these books are just all sex. Those I skip when looking at Amazon for stuff to read while working out (although these didn't even make to a workout). It seems I'm a sucker for a good alien romance (or werewolf, vampire, warlock, etc). I do some more hard core sci fi to read. And I'll get to those. If anyone wants to check out what I've been reading...feel free! (Careful Calen....no blushing GF!! emoticon)

Hubby wasn't feeling good over the weekend. He's been having dizzy spells. Come to find out he stopped taking ALL is daily meds to take the pain meds. I told him he HAS to take the daily ones...that his blood pressure meds and stuff. Silly hubby! So he's back to taking them as of today. emoticon

Eating was so so over the weekend. It could have (and should have!) been better. I told hubby I'm going to downsize our portions. He's OK with that, as long as I don't take all his rice away from him. emoticon

So that's going to be it for today. I'm working hard on my current project and should get back to it! Have a great one everyone!

Sounds like You had an Enjoyable Weekend reading books. Everyone needs to take time out and do something they enjoy doing. Your Husband should start feeling better being back on all of his meds. Going off meds like that is a NO NO. Cutting down on potions of food will help You in losing more weight too. Don't work to hard. God Blessings to You and Everyone. Have a Wonderful Week. Take Care. Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if you like kind of weird romances, you should look at "The Gargoyle" by Andrew Davidson.

"The nameless and beautiful narrator of "The Gargoyle" is driving along a dark road when he is distracted by what seems to be a flight of arrows. He crashes into a ravine and wakes up in a burns ward, undergoing the tortures of the damned. His life is over - he is now a monster. But in fact it is only just beginning. One day, Marianne Engel, a wild and compelling sculptress of gargoyles, enters his life and tells him that they were once lovers in medieval Germany. In her telling, he was a badly burned mercenary and she was a nun and a scribe who nursed him back to health in the famed monastery of Engelthal. As she spins her tale, Scheherazade fashion, and relates equally mesmerising stories of deathless love in Japan, Greenland, Italy and England, he finds himself drawn back to life - and, finally, to love." (Amazon)

This book was disturbing because of the description of what burn patients have to go through, but I couldn't quit thinking about it. No sex, however! So you could actually read the WHOLE thing! LOL emoticon

I love reading on my tablet. I use the Kindle app. and even manage to find some good books in the free section.

We downsized our portions back in late Jan. Took a few days to start feeling full on the smaller portions (stomach needs time to adjust) but we're finding that now we get full on much less food than before. Both a calorie saver and a budget saver...lol
