New Healthy Habit:Eating more fruits and veggies

I did not do so well today. I did not plan my veggies in my day. I just left myself to the wind.

So I will start tomorrow This time I will have an omelet with all the fixings. I have notice when I start my day with veggies I am consistent with veggies and fruit through out the day.

I also took some advice I received yesterday. I prepared my fruit to make it easier to take it with me.

    Every day is a new start so enjoy the fruits and veggies tomorrow.
    I pack the fruits and salad every night for lunches (3 different fruits of 1/2 c a serving and about 5 servings of veggies mostly in salad which would be 1 c of greens such as spinach or romaine lettuce and 1/2 of carrots, red and green peppers and tomatoes, then I add in 1/8 cup of either walnuts or almonds and top it off with breast chicken (100 gm). Then I know i am covered even I do not eat any veggies at dinner time. I am fruit junkie, I have to find a balance.
    Add them slowly if it has not been your thing to avoid upset stomach.

    I make up a huge fruit salad and keep it in the 'fridge and eat it for breakfast, lasts about 4 days...unless I have some at night as

    I can understand. Some days I do really well, others, not so much. The key is to plan. That's what works for me. If I make a menu for myself for the following day and lay out my work out clothes I will eat right and get my exercise in. I try to cut up all of my veggies when I get home from the grocery store. This helps me eat my quota. Good luck on your journey. emoticon

    I'm finally starting to get better about fruits and veggies. I used to average 1-2 servings, and struggled! Now, I'm adding 4-5, and some days manage to get more!

    I feel so much better, too.
