One stress-er done!

Monday, March 04, 2013

Well, even though it took all day, the boy child is back in class. We have a plan to get him through the end of the year. He also acknowledged that he does NOT want to participate in graduation and the thought of being up in front of everyone is scary. His principal has agree to give him his certificate at the school with just us and his teachers present. He was happy with that. I think the boy child is good now. emoticon

I got all my errands done today so we have a fridge full of good food. I have all the laundry done from yesterday. I still have some dishes to finish but everything else is done. So that front is taken care of.

I did find a set of Yak Tracks. We have a major snow storm coming in this week and I'm scheduled to run a 5K on Saturday. Hubby is certain the course will be cleared but I grew up in Oak Forest. Snow removal is not their strong point. So I'm prepared. I refuse to wimp out no matter the weather!

I'll be taking Tazzy out as soon as the boy child gets home. He has to take Gypsy. I plan to take Thursday and Friday off for the race this weekend. But today is Monday and that means 3 miles!

Warm Wags - Later!

Happy things went well with the child and school. It's not always easy being a parent. And boy can it get tough!!! But they are our lives aren't they? I would not have it any other way. Be careful with this pending storm - it's supposed to get ugly.

Thankful that your son is back at school and his graduation issue has been resolved in a very reasonable way. It's difficult for us to put ourselves into the shows of those who are challenged in varied ways so we can't always see the obstacles in their path. I know that it can sometimes take some time to figure out what that one big obstacle is that is side tracking them and causing inappropriate behavioral responses. Oh the challenges. I have my dear brother at home with me here and am in the midst of such challenges. We'll get through this one again too just as you have. Happy for you, Kitty.

Sounds like you're getting back to regular fitness. Are you pleased with your progress? I think you're doing emoticon . Look at you so determined to run that 5 km never mind the weather.. Fantastic.

Glad to hear that things are working out for your son!

Good for you for not making excuses to not do your race! I hope it doesn't snow for your race!

I'm glad he's back on track! That's wonderful that the principal is willing to allow him to have a smaller graduation.

You are going to love the YakTrax. I wear mine all winter. Be careful on linoleum/tile/wood floors though--they are slippery indoors. (Learned from experience) Once you receive them, give them a try outside for a short run, just so you know how they feel. I find they provide me with a bit more shock absorption, but they do take getting used to.

You are going to ROCK that emoticon

I am so glad to hear that the meeting went well. I can only imagine your sense of relief . . . and HIS too.

Well, hope you have a good run. We're expecting 10+ inches. On top of the foot we already have. Lord love a duck, don't know where we're going to put the snow!

HUGS and glad things are looking up a little.

I'm so glad things seem to be working out for your son and that his school was willing to work with him and help him get through the rest of the year. It's great that they are accommodating him for his graduation as well. We are supposed to get the snow here in PA on Wednesday.
