Motivation Monday

I screwed up this weekend, I'll own up to it. Went out to eat, ordered pizza, even found some adorable Brownies and walked away with an arm full of Girl Scout Cookies.

I have tons of excuses. My schedule was thrown off by visits to the doctor and lab for blood work. Had to go out to lunch on Thursday with a lady from work who is leaving. Just didn't feel like cooking. Got news I didn't want to hear on Friday.

None of them are good enough and I know that.

After eating the pizza we ordered for dinner last night I vowed to get back on track today. I have no idea how much damage I did weight-wise. I might even skip my weigh-in this week just to avoid discouragement.

I did have something positive happen today that out-weighed the negatives of the weekend, so I am riding that wave right now.

I asked my husband to help keep me on track this week. He said he would try, which means he'll wait until Wednesday to tell me "You don't have to cook, let's order pizza!"

The delicious Thin Mints are hidden in my freezer and will be dolled out in moderation until they are gone. I'm glad I forgot about them while packing my lunch this morning.

    I'm sorry to hear that things aren't going your way but impressed that you're putting a positive spin on it! I agree with you about the weigh in, it will only discourage you if you're pretty sure the number is going to be high. Just think how you'll repair all that damage this coming week :)

  Oh well, don't beat yourself up over what happened, simply get up, dust yourself off and start over again!
