Step three of my coffee addiction challenge

What are you doing to encourage yourself and keep on track?

Well yesterday's blog comments included a number of folks who think that since coffee is the #1 means for US citizens to get anti-oxidants this isn't the best choice to improve my health. In terms of anti-oxidants in beverages the stacking is:
White tea - #1
Green tea - #2
Black Tea - #3
Coffee - #4

Coffee makes the top of the list because so many US adults drink it so I still think that switching out a couple of cups for water or Green Tea is a good choice.

Yesterday was a good day. I reduced from potentially 6 cups to only 2 with no caffeine withdrawal headache. Of course being at home with better access to healthy snacks and activities on a Sunday is much less of a challenge for me than today at work. So far, today I only made 2 cups of coffee and it would appear that the coffee to water ratio has gotten screwed up and the coffee turned out very weak and unsatisfying. So the first thing I'm going to do to encourage me and keep me on track is to buy a 2-4 cup coffee pot this evening which should help the satisfaction part of the challenge.

I have my eye on a 72% Super Dark Organic Chocolate Bar with Almonds at Trader Joe's for Wednesday if I make it that far at only 2 cups per day and a beautiful set of Asian tea cups for my new green tea interest if I get thru to Sunday.
