Week five

I lost another pound this week, but i'm a little sad i didn't lose more :( I had hoped that i would be (finally) under 170 lbs, but i guess it's going to take more time. I'm wondering if perhaps i did something wrong or not, but keep reminding myself I still lost weight, not gained or even even hit a plateau. I took measurements, as this was the first month, and i was so sure i had lost inches, but according to the measurements i'm still the same all around =/ I was so sure I had slimmed down, and i thought i had toned up, but not according to the measurements. Sad Panda :( I am a little discouraged. emoticon

It's doubtful you put on the weight in a few pounds a week increments, so how could it really be that healthy to lose a few pounds a week? When taking measurements, are you sure you measured at the same place? That's crucial, as if it's in a different place you're not getting an accurate view of the change.

Either way, even if you don't see the big changes you want, there are internal changes that are happening that will help you in the long run. Do you have more energy? Can you climb a flight of stairs more easily? Are you enjoying exercise and healthier foods more? These are all ways to feel your progress even when you can't see it.

Great job on losing the weight! You're still headed in the right track. And don't forget the Non-Scale Victories (NSVs) too! You may not have lost as much as you were hoping for, but I'm sure you can think of other places where you won!

Congrats on losing a pound! I know that the weight loss journey can definitely be frustrating when you feel like the effort you put in isn't equal to the number on the scale or measuring tape.

I think it's great that you FEEL better - more tone, etc., because that's certainly a portent of things to come!

Good luck and Happy Sparking!
