Back to the land of the living...

Last week was a blur of unproductive nothing... Of course I shouldn’t really feel too guilty about that seeing as I was sick (and I mean sick enough to miss work for the first time, ever... Maybe this was my payback for having fun on the weekend?) But now I feel like I’ve just lost a week of potential and fallen another week behind plan. Those deadlines that I set back at Christmas time have started looming in the near future and panic has started setting in, so losing most the week lying in bed was less than ideal.

Since there’s nothing I can do about that lost time, now that I’m more or less back on my feet it’s time for damage control. I’m currently fighting the temptation to just take everything from last week and add it to this week’s list, doubling my work load. I mean I know I won’t get it all done, but logic would dictate that since I need to get the same amount of stuff done, for the same deadline, I have no other choice right? I think the challenge this week will be to keep consistency with the healthy changes while I try to make up for lost study time. It’s so much harder to make a healthy meal when the 20 min you have allotted are actually all the time you can afford for cooking and cleaning...

On the plus side, apparently the high-fever diet is effective for quickly dropping a few pounds...
