So far, so good.

Day 1 - 45 minutes (all bike)
Day 2 - 35 minutes (30 bike/5 marching)
Day 3 - 60 minutes (30 bike/30 yoga)

I'm really proud of myself that my Spark streak is a strong 3 days. I know 3 days isn't that much but having put out there publically that I was doing a streak has kept me moving forward, especially since I said I would blog about my progress. This could be my first 1000 minute month, too! Excited about that as I've shot for that for a number of months and haven't made it.

The only issue is that now that I'm exercising, I'm putting on weight. This happens every time and I get so frustrated. I'm up almost 3 pounds from my lowest. There is NO good reason. I haven't been eating more, I've been drinking my water, and this is what usually causes me to stop exercising because I stop losing weight and plateau no matter what I do. I know that exercise helps me in so many ways but it should also aid in my weight loss and I don't find that to be true. I will continue the streak because I know it will definitely help my blood results at the end of the month but I need it to help on the scale or I may lose my mind!!!

    There is a great reason for gaining weight when you exercise: you're gaining muscle! Muscle weight is GOOD weight. I know that's hard to hear because you're focussed on that number on the scale: and it went up. But focus on a healthy and strong you and the numbers will follow. More than that, you'll FEEL better and LOOK better. Isn't that really the point? I've seen lots of people who don't weigh much with grey skin and dull lifeless hair and no ambition to enjoy life. That's not REALLY your goal is it?

Keep doing what you're doing: Enjoy life: Love what you see in the mirror.
