Oy! What a week!

In spite of being crazy busy almost every night of the week I managed to fit in a workout every day between Monday and Thursday.
I had planned to get a quick on Friday too even though my Mother would be arriving that night to attend an SCA event with me (SCA.org if you are curious, but in brief it is a medieval living history group I am heavily involved with) and my need to get things ready for said event.

Friday morning however life had other plans. I got rear-ended on my way to work. I have reasons to believe that the person who hit me was texting, but because I was paying attention to what I SHOULD be paying attention to I cannot be sure. In either case, I stopped at a red light, the van behind me did not. I had left enough space between me and the car in front of me that while I was pushed forward a bit, I did not hit the car in front of Me. My truck took some rear-end damage, and I got a good shaking and a nice whack to the back of the head against my car seat, but was otherwise fine.
Seat Belts Work.

Spilled a whole cup of Sumatra coffee too! (that really is a bloody shame)

Spent all day with a headache and lost most of it to working with the insurance, repair guys, car rental, etc.

Woke up on Saturday stiff and sore! Even when “uninjured” it amazing what the jar of an impact can do to the joints.

Still I had loosened up vastly by mid-day, and we still got to enjoy the event. I admit that a glass of wine or 3 may have helped with the loosening process.
It was a wonderful Event with a full feast (very calorie laden) I don’t feel too bad, it was a planned indulgence.

I still was a bit sore but not very much on Sunday, I decided to give the body one more rest day before working out again. I still moved around the house and went to a Gem & Mineral show with my BF and his son. We went to Cheese Burger in Paradise for dinner.

I was mildly surprised that with Fri-Sunday being non-exercise and calorie/fat/carb heavy I managed not to gain. This morning’s weigh in is holding steady! Was hoping for movement down but with the sudden derailment I count myself lucky.

This is another Crazy week and I will not only rarely be home to eat the right foods, but will have time for my Cardio on Mon, Weds & Thurs only.
I am challenging myself to make as many good choices as possible.

Yes, you were lucky, in maintenance and in not being seriously hurt. Smart to get back into things slowly.

Oh no! Getting in an accident is horrible, but at least you're not letting it get you down. Even if it's not your fault, it always ends up being such a headache. Hope that you have a great week this week!

So glad you are OK and I think you deserved the "feast" at your festival especially if it is something you had planned for! I too would have been very saddened by the loss of my Sumatran coffee!! emoticon My fave!! Your costume is beautiful!! Sounds like it was a lot of fun! Good luck to you this week. Hope you can get successfully back on track minus the craziness!! Sometimes the things life throws at us can really derail us, but stay strong and keep going!!
