V. V. disappointed in my BMI!

Monday, March 04, 2013

I thought that my BMI was in the 24 region. But I just did the math and found that I'm in fact, having a BMI of 25 above, in fact, closer to 26! Which means, I'm fat!!!!!

Don't believe me, I weigh 57 kilos and I am 1.49 meters in height!

57 / (1.49 X 1.49) = 25.67!!!!

Wahhhhhh!!!!!! I'm FAT!!!!! (technically, overweight)!

I think it's still acceptable BMI, not too far from 24 and besides, BMI is more like a guidelines, not a strict standard. You need to see other aspects, too, such as your inches measurements, how do you feel, how your clothes fit with your body, etc etc.

Don't worry! Spark People has a chart for BMI. Don't judge yourself by numbers, go by how you feel how you look!!

Try not to get caught up in the numbers. I was in the obese range for a long time and nobody would have called me obese at that time.

Right now I am in the best shape I've been in over six years and I'm still in the overweight range last I checked.

Keep eating right and keep moving and you will be fine!
