Shrimp with Garlic and Olive Oil Recipe Review

I made this for Round Four of the At Goal & Maintaining + Transition to Maintenance team's What's Cookin', Good Lookin'? recipe challenge:

The theme for this round is fish and seafood and I wanted something that was simple, yet full of flavor. My husband and I both prefer our seafood without too many bells and whistles and this recipe definitely fit the bill. The only change I made was to use slightly less olive oil to save some calories, but there was still plenty of tasty seasoned oil to dip our bread in. I rounded the meal out with a nice peperonata and the flavors meshed perfectly with the shrimp dish. If you like shrimp, I'd highly recommend trying this.

    It really sounds tasty! And I like how you olive oil. It often happened to me that I ordered shrimps or octopus, to discover it was swimming in virgin olive oil...

    Must be great to have all these seafood in Venice! Here in Austria it's mostly Frankfurters and Wiener Schnitzels, although the see is not far away, somehow it's not in the way of life. Kind of a landlocked country. So I enjoy to mountains to run!

    Great recipe! And timely, too, since I have a bunch of shrimp in my freezer. I love, love seafood. Must be my Sicilian blood :)

    Sounds great! I love simple seafood... I only wish I lived remotely near where you could get good fresh shrimp... the stuff we have here in CO is pretty dismal.

    Sounds SO yummy! I had to look up peperonata...I make something like this but never knew it had a name. Just thought it was sauteed peppers and onions.

    Simple and fast to make! I also like seafood without too many added ingredients to the recipe.
    I just googled "peperonata" as I didn't know what it is and I'd really appreciate the recipe for that! Or any special spice mix that you may use, maybe?
