I've been meaning to get in morning workouts even on the weekends, but I got sucked into the world of Downton Abbey the past few days. I've been hearing rave reviews about the British period drama TV series and saw that it was streaming on Netflix. Big mistake! This show should be a controlled substance -- very, very addictive.
Thankfully, I pushed myself to stop my marathon watching today and got to the gym around 7 pm. I did 20 minutes on the recumbent bike and was really sweating near the end as I was increasing the resistance every minute. I then stretched for 10 minutes and did 25 minutes of upper body weight training. I set my alarm for 5:10 am so I'll be up for a Monday morning workout...very much want to get back into the routine of doing early morning exercise.
On the way home from the gym I picked up some beef marrow bones for my dogs and calf liver for myself. Hopefully, the liver allocated throughout this week will help with the adult acne and fatigue that I've been experiencing lately. It IS a superfood -- gram per gram is the most nutritious food one could eat.
Last but not least, I plan to do 10 minutes of meditation and deep breathing on my yoga mat before bed.
