On my way!

Sunday, March 03, 2013

Today, I broke my own rule and got on the scale before I was "supposed to". I couldn't help myself. Yesterday was my "normal" day to weigh and since I'm weighing just every 2 weeks, I should be waiting until March 16 to weigh again.

But here's the thing! Yesterday, I was just .2# short of reaching my first 10#, so my curiosity got the best of me and I jumped back on the scale again this morning. But, it paid off! I was at exactly 10# lost!

My ultimate goal is not just the weight loss, it's dropping my cholesterol numbers, which I've succeeded in doing already. And it's not just dropping my cholesterol numbers, it's feeling better, sleeping better and fitting back into my size 8 and 6 jeans stacked neatly in my closet, just waiting to be worn again. My ultimate goal is to make this way, the Spark way of eating and exercising my way of life, or my weigh of life. Forever!

Being a healthy senior is a goal to strive for that will be so very much worth the time and effort needed to get to the point where my BMI is no longer considered obese (done), or over, which I still am over where I need to be. So I have several goals to aim for and I have every intention of achieving all of those goals.

I am motivated, focused and determined to be fit and healthy for the rest of my life. With God, all things are possible. I believe! I believe in God and I believe in myself. I can and will do this by the grace of God.
