My new habit and how I will accomplish it.

This week the challenge for the 5% challenge is to blog about a new habit you wish to develop. Each day there is a new question to answer. I didn't write yesterday so I am combining Saturday and Sunday into one blog.

The habit I want to develop is staying in my calorie range. The only way to lose weight is to eat less calories than your body uses.

I will stay in my calorie range by planning ahead and tracking all of my food. I carry my iPad with me to work so I can track food as I eat it. I also have a journal that I write in. I am a emotional eater. I want to start writing about how I'm feeling before I stuff my emotions with food. I've done this in the past and it works. I have the Spark app onmy phone too. Having these tools at my fingertips should make it easy to track.

    I love using my Kindle Fire to keep track of my food, I think using a tablet is easier than being strapped to a laptop at home. I hope you can stay on track with your food and calorie counts. Thank for commenting on my blog, have a great challenge!

    You've hit on some important keys to staying with our nutrition range. I find that planning my meals ahead is so worthwhile though time consuming at the time I do the planning. I try to plan once a week. I can always modify but then at least I have the groceries I need and I am not planning when I'm hungry or just want to eat and eat too much or the wrong foods. I find that tracking the food before I eat makes it very clear to me whether I actually want to stuff that food into my mouth if there are the x number of calories attached to it. Sometimes I change my choice with that bit of knowledge.
