I missed my chance on Saturday to earn blogging and commenting points, so I am combining Saturday and Sunday's assignments here and hope to continue the blogging challenge for the rest of the week.
The assignments are:
1) What new habit you wish to develop? (Saturday)
2) How will you do that? (Sunday)
3) What are you doing to encourage yourself and keep on track? (Monday)
4) How are you doing day by day? (Tuesday)
5) What can you improve upon? (Wednesday)
6) Do you need some motivation or advice? Ask for it! (Thursday)
7) Anything else you would like to share with your Team (Friday)
1) What new habit you wish to develop? (Saturday)
Since the beginning of 2013, I am trying to develop the habit of being more positive. I tend to only see the negative side of things. I often see what needs to be done, not what has been done.
For example, when I started on SP, I thought I needed to lose 60 pounds. For a long time, I was disappointed that I had 'only' lost 40 pounds and still had 20 pounds to go. I refused to acknowledge the efforts I made to that point!
2) How will you do that? (Sunday)
Now, I try to see how far I've come instead of how far I have to go. This has helped created new, small, doable healthy habits.
I am also surrounding myself with more positive things: daily quotes; inspirational books; upbeat people and media (music etc).
Here's a quote from a new book I purchased at the beginning of the year. It is a Greek proverb: "The heart that loves is always young."
Since I am planning to live to be 100 years old, I need to pace myself, love abundantly, and stay young at heart!
