I am on Day 2 of my tracking streak. Taking the time to plan the night before is key for me. There is just something about writing it down that makes it etched in stone and I wouldn’t think of deviating from it. Not writing it down leaves me with too many opportunities to underestimate my food choices. Not a good thing.
The SP tracker makes it pretty easy. It has at least a dozen different features that make tracking less time consuming. I especially appreciate the COPY button. I tend to repeat the same breakfast and lunch at least threes in a week, so that button comes in handy. I also appreciate how the nutrient ranges are right there. As I fill in my plan, I can see where I need to make some changes. Right now, I am trying to focus on more protein and less carbs. Amazing how much less hungry I feel when I follow that pattern, and tracking it is the only way to be sure I am doing that.
In addition to preplanning, the other part of my strategy is to blog about my progress, at least for the first week. Nothing keeps you accountable like making your goal public.
That is my plan, and I am sticking to it!
