It Never Fails! (Plus Weekly Menu)

Sunday, March 03, 2013

Here's how it works:

I am crabby because weight loss is slow. I blog about it, being all whiny and irritating.

The next morning I drop .6 lbs (6/10ths of a lb).

Yup, you heard me, now I'm sitting at 198 even.

I should either a) Complain more often about slow weight loss or b) When I get the urge to complain, just SHUT UP lol.

I realized I never told you all my menu last week, so I'm starting this week off right!

Tonight: Asian Pork & Noodle Soup (pork, snow peas, scallions, carrots and mushrooms with lo mein noodles in a chicken stock spiked with ginger)

Tomorrow: Falafel pitas with tzatziki and veggies.

Weds: Spaghetti & Turkey Meatballs

Thurs: Portuguese Chicken Breasts w/ Rice & Salad

Fri: Cube Steak w/ Mushroom Sherry Sauce

Sat: Homemade rosemary focaccia w/ tomatoes and mozzarella

Sounds good! Off to make my own complainy blog about my lack of weight loss. Hahaha.

Your menu sounds great. I need to plan better, but I've been away the last FOUR WEEKENDS and working late a bunch of days in between. I want to scream. I just want my life to be boring again! ha.

I understand the frustration. I have been stuck in a 5 pound rut! Up down up down. I want to scream. I really need to meal plan better. I love your menu! Very inspiring! :)

You really need your own cooking show. Your meals sound like what the contestants cook up in The Taste.

(speaking of which, are you still watching it? I really like the gal who was a private chef for celebs like Charlie Sheen...Kristiane I think is her name?)

The same thing happens when I complain. I gripe that I'm not making fitness progress and then I jump on the bike for a 15 mile PR that same day!

I LOVE the ethnic variety of the meals you enjoy!! It opens up so many more menu options when you enjoy so many different flavors. You are doing great! :)

I say.. complain! Complaining about item drops in video games always seems to make them drop faster. Therefore, I wholly support this course of action!

Congrats on the weight loss! It's gotta come off eventually, right? It's just frustrating when it sits there and tries to mess with your head.

I love falafel!

SIX pounds is totally awesome! Aren't our bodies marvelous curiousities?

Your week's menus sound wonderful! I made a big batch of Chicken Vegetable Stoup yesterday with the chicken I bought at the farmer's market. I even downloaded the recipe into SP. It was the most money I've ever paid for chicken in my life, but my goodness gracious, the stoup was phenomenal.

It's a sunny day here today. Hope it is by you. Go out for a walk!!
