My husband is a huge fan of tea (he also likes coffee though, which I can't stand, ugh!) Our pastor's wife was telling us about a neat tea place about 25 minutes from here called ChocolaTea. She said that they have tons of different kinds of tea and let you sample any flavor you want. They also have tons of little chocolates to choose from. We decided to give it a try on our date day this past Thursday.
I was glad that she told us where it was, because we could have easily missed it. It is on the corner of a plaza, but WAAAAY far down from where we usually shop:
The first thing we saw when we noticed was a little gift shop. They had tons of tea pots, tea cups, individual tea bags, and other knick-knacks.
Next, they had tons of jars of different flavors of tea. There were a lot that I have never heard of before. Of course, I went straight to the ones that sounded like dessert, lol. The lady made us three different samples: peppermint candy cane, a peppermint/chocolate one, and hot cinnamon apple. My favorite was the cinnamon apple. It didn't really taste like tea, and it's a good tea for after dinner when you are craving something but don't want to take in the calories!
They had a case of different chocolates, desserts, and they also sell sandwiches and soups. Jon had a chocolate covered pretzel with mini Reeses Pieces all over it, and I had a small piece of chocolate called "Peanut butter cloud." It was kind of like a Reeses. We had tea lattes. They all had funny names, so I can't remember the exact name of mine, but it was some kind of white chocolate flavor and I asked for skim milk instead of whole milk. It was very yummy!
There was a sitting area, but I didn't get a picture since there were other people sitting there and I didn't want to look like a stalker, lol! They also had an outside sitting area for when it is warmer out. That looked like it would be nice for spring or summertime:
This was definitely a fun little place and somewhere that I would like to go to again. I wish they had one in our town!
