3 Deep Breaths

It all comes down to eating more mindfully. So, today I will institute a 3-Deep-Breath regimen to my mealtimes...
Before I eat (or before I prepare a plate w/food), I will stop and take 3 deep breaths. During those breaths, I will consider whether or not I REALLY want to eat it.

{note - that blog I wrote yesterday about committing to not eat the bread basket came just in time. We were at a fancy Manhattan restaurant last night that served each diner an enormous piping hot, delicious smelling roll - almost as big as a whole loaf of bread. I am pretty sure that I would have succumbed to the temptation if I hadn't written yesterday's blog. So - a big victory for me...I felt so great when I went to sleep last night and also when I woke up this morning, remembering how in control I felt. )
