1st Week Up!

So I officially signed up for the Big Sur Mud Run and decided to begin a 4 week crash course to be ready. The goal is to finish the Mud Run in about a hour, its about 5 miles so I want to average a 12 minute mile. I just wanted to show myself that if I buckled down I could complete it. I took a pretty standard race training guide, added it to what I was already doing in order for it to fit me. I also made a pledge to eat at lot more protein and less carbs then I normally was doing.
The first week is officially down, three weeks to go and I feel good. According to the scale I lost about 3 pounds. I don't expect to lose that any weight but that is an added plus. Honestly, there is nothing better than being rewarded for hard work! I'm pumped for the next three weeks!
