Day 19 of 40 day challenge - with phots of Quilt tops

Sunday, March 03, 2013

Another day for inside. Small flakes of snow are dropping but not enough to make any impression. Gave me an excuse to stay in and work on my quilt tops.

Here are the 2 quilts I've been working on. The first one - One block wonder which takes a base block and slices and dices it to reform new blocks. It's intended for my inventory of future engagement gifts but right now is still a tad small. I'm thinking of adding another outside border to make it grow in size. Original design.

Here is the One block wonder which is really not one block but one fabric. All these kaleidoscope blocks are made from one fabric. This is outside my comfort zone as it is more abstract. Original design - work in progress

As for my challenge my intention is to open my new 28 day Bootcamp - day 1 DVD. emoticon

This is the original fabric used to make the one block wonder quilt.

You have been busy! I love both quilts, but especially the green one. The fabric is neat for that type of quilt.

I love the 1-block wonder. I would like to see the original fabric. kaleidoscope blocks are always so much fun because you neverknow what the end result will be.

Wow Ginny, I love that Red & Green pieced border....VERY interesting!!

I too thought the "one block wonders" were outside my comfort zone and now I can't stop making them!!! I have a Jungle Animal quilt in the making, which I created separte blocks - just not certain if it will contain sashing strips or alternative blocks.
