My First Blog Ever!

Well, with the start of a new month, March, I guess it's time to start a new project. I'm slowly making progress toward a healthy lifestyle after decades of neglect. Finding SparkPeople has been a dream come true for me! The Nutrition Tracker has been especially helpful - I never paid attention to what and how much I have been eating! Now that I can see how many calories are in my favorite foods (uh-oh!) and, even more eye-opening, how much fat I have been eating, I've been able to be more conscious of my intake. Have lost 12 pounds without really doing more than being aware! The best way for me is to track what I eat before I actually eat it - if my hair stands on end, I eat less!!! Lol!
Guess that's enough for today - this may be sporadic, but I'm game to keep trying to blog...
