Getting There (Day 9)

Today's 5% Challenge question to blog about is "How will you do that?" Of course, my habit for this challenge is to be more consistent in getting my exercise minutes in. I did kind of explain this in yesterday's blog, but I'll reiterate it here today.

For one, recognizing that 45 to 60 minutes of exercise a day is just a fraction of my day: 1/24th of an entire day, 1/16 of my waking hours a day, and 1/4 of my time home in the evening. So, with that, I do have some fun exercise/fitness *games* for my XBox 360 Kinect. These are:

Zumba Rush which has 30, 45, and 60 minute classes.
Zumba Core which is broken down the same as Zumba Rush.
Biggest Loser Ultimate which is also broken down in 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 minute classes.

For now, I plan to do the BL Ultimate for 15 minutes a day then one of the Zumba *games* for 45 minutes a day following the BL. This order will allow me to do the more challenging workout for BL Ultimate while I still have the energy.

I also plan to have two rest days where I will try to get my walking in during the day at work. I'm the furthest desk away from the parking log, so a two purposeful walks to and from there will put me over 15 minutes of walking for the day.

The weekends will be a little tougher as I plan to incorporate 120 minutes of fitness into my day. 45 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes of strength training or stability ball workout, 15 minutes BL Ultimate, then 45 minutes of Zumba. I did this yesterday and felt great afterward. I was kind of tripping over my feet toward the end of the Zumba class, but I also forgot to change out of my running shoes and into my dance shoes for Zumba alone.

This is a very workable plan. I know I can do it!
