App for SparkPeople on Smartphone

Sunday, March 03, 2013

Who has paid for the SP app for your smartphone? I had the app when it was free and then had to get a new phone and lost that app. Not sure if I want to pay for the app when the website is free. I used the app everyday due to no internet at home. However some of the reviews have me rethinking the app. Please comment and let me know your thoughts.

Oh wow, didn't know they were now charging! I hardly use the app I have at the moment, which is the free one. I'd not pay for it when I can just list my food in memopad or whatever and then enter it for free at home.

I don't have the app, but I often just go to the SP website and do things when I'm sitting and waiting for DD at one of her meetings. I can usually do what I want like that. I can't scroll for my favorite foods, but I can search and get what I want by just typing in a few letters.

I have bookmarked the site on my phone, so it's easy to get to.

Even though the app has a fee associated now, I could still download the free app ... not the same as the fee based one, but it is sufficient for what I use it for. That being said, I don't do much with the app. Just add a few foods every now and again because I can't get to the website for one reason or another.

If you don't have access at home and depend on your smartphone, I'd say you are worth the price of the app! It's a tool for your weight loss journey. Think of all the money you spend to stay on track. It's one of those costs. You're sooooo worth it!!
