"Having a positive body image is directly connected to your overall happiness.
Love yourself no matter what stage of life you are in, size or shape you are.
Don’t think if you were younger, thinner, etc you would receive more love.
What you look like is not what people love you for, they love you for your heart & how you treat them.
And your LOVE for YOURSELF will shine in your eyes & your happiness will make you GLOW. ~ Namaste ♥ Anna" (on a poster)

I have got to remember this as I know I need this. I always think what if? and How come? and I do feel inadequate at times. Then there are the other times that people just seem to love me and I have idea how or why. I don't do anything different than what I am but I get " we miss you" and "what are you doing now" "where are you working" from people that I used to help at the stores when I run into them at different places.

Most of the time I do like myself, then of course there are the days and times I don't like anyone! lol But again that goes for everyone I guess.

As a kid I was the shy one, the "fat" one, the one that never got invited to a lot of things. Some of that was because I grew up in a military family (moved a bit) but when you're shy that compounds things and ideas. And kids are cruel......just plain and simple.

I'm still pretty shy until I get to know someone, still don't say much on the threads of the teams I'm on, and most of all I don't do blogs very often. I think my last one was over a year ago...yep sure was, just looked!

Well this is to a new thinking....a new way to look at things....a new way to feel

Hope it sticks!!

Well said and so describes you. Know that others love you, I think they just get busy with "LIFE" and don't keep in touch. Then after a certain amount of time, they feel too embarrassed to contact you. That being said, you are so very special. I see it and I know others do also. I think you are starting to see it in yourself so you go girl as you can accomplish whatever you want to.

Hugs...

emoticon PANDA!!!! My dear, dear friend!!! You are LOVED!!! I grew up as the 'fat' kid who didn't get chosen for the play ground teams and always feeling alone. Thanks for reminding me to LOVE MYSELF!!!

emoticon emoticon YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!!
Simply THINKING about your daily challenges and making the BEST choices presented to you at that moment, is a HUGE success... whether those choices are "perfect' or not... you are doing GREAT by simply moving forward!!!

Best of luck with your program and your challenges!!!

I just wrote a blog about a PSYCHOLOGY TODAY article that might interest you... it talks about overcoming our "inner con-artist"... "STOP horsing around with our weight loss!"

This article talks about recognizing and DEALING WITH our "Inner Con-Artist"... YOU MUST BEAT THE INNER CON-ARTIST!!! Eating temptations will accompany you throughout your life.... When "white knuckling" doesn't work for you, alternatives are given.

Catch the inner Con-Artist by THINKING about your thinking. You may hear the word "later" iterating through your mind. The "I'll stop later" message also can erupt while you're eating fattening food or using addictive substances.

I know it will stick- you are the one who has the ability to change course- reach out- embrace who you are- let others love you, too. Great progress!

I'm like you in that I'm shy until I get to know people. Especially in groups (unless I'm doing chameleon mode) where I only know a few people. If you asked my team from Miinnie's I'm a total wild party animal and not shy at all! LOL Anyway good luck with the positive thinking and loving yourself as you are. You are definitely worth it. After all, you're my friend and I DO NOT hang around boring, unlovable people! Ask my brother if you don't believe me. I haven't seen him in over 5 or is it 10 years now? (Drug addicted, violent, and everything else that goes with it.)

Have fun. Maybe list 3 things that you are thankful for and 3 things that you like/love about yourself daily (or even weekly). It helps me to remember the good things even when times are tough.

Allow only positive thoughts into your life. As soon as you catch yourself thinking negative, make it a positive thought!
