I finally went to visit mom yesterday after about two months . Either she was sick, we were sick, or they quarantined the building. Stayed for over three hours, had a very nice time.
I always have the urge to stop at the drive through and get a caramel frappe`, but have resisted for the pat eleven months.. I love McDonalds brand, but still, drove home, very thirsty and very un-satisfied. Drank my 1/2% milk when I got home, then DD made me a cup of my treasured jasmine tea. All was right with my world for a few minutes with that!!

One of the things that helps me stay away from restaurant tempting trigger foods is my financial situation. Each time I resist a big temptation, I put that $$ into our vacation fund.. at this trate, we may be flying to Hawaii!!(just kidding of course) ,, more like driving the seven hours up to Paradise on Lake Superior,....

I'm just saying...

LINDA i am so with you. If anyone asks us to go to a restaurant I will check out the prices and my head tells me I can buy so much more to make at home for this. Then I realise i have so few invitations out I will go. I am so glad I was raised frugal and always will be that way fir sure. Pat in Maine.

I am happy to read you had a long visit with MOM, way to go I am happier still you enjoyed your visit, I hope that Mom did also. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
