Reaching my March goals

One of my goals for March is to exercise every day - how will that happen?

I was able to get outside for a jog/walk yesterday, but didn't go until the afternoon. Recently, that shouldn't have been a problem, but, living in AZ, you just never know about the weather. It was 80 degrees, and, since I don't sweat, it was too hot for me to jog much, so it was mostly a walk. Since Spring is just around the corner, I will have to plan better if I want to exercise outside. I "melt" easily in the heat......LOL!

I much prefer to exercise in the morning, and often use exercise DVD's. However, we only have one TV, so I exercise in the LR. That isn't usually a problem, since my DH is retired and I get up earlier. But, he's having surgery this next week and we have to make some adjustments to our living arrangements. One of them is that we are moving our bed into the LR so he can watch TV (basketball season is in full swing, which is a good thing for him, since he won't be able to go out and he'll be home alone during the day since I will be working). But, that will limit my use of the TV. I will have to pull out my little portable DVD player and use it in the bedroom - I will have lots of space, since the bed won't be there! But, the portable DVD is so small! I'll have to see how that goes for me......

    I also use the TV in the living room for exercise and these are the other options I use:

I use the computer which in my dining room and load the DVD on there or workout to a YouTube exercise video.

I use my daughter's mini laptor (the screen is way too small but I know enough of the video (walk away the pounds) so I just need the voice cues for the next move.

I also walk around the neighborhood or go to the park for my walk.

    Your living room isn't that big. What are you going to do with the rest of the furniture?

And, I do NOT want to hear that you "can't run" because it's too hot!!! Another day of snow and cold. Will spring ever get here???? Of course, if you run too early in the morning, you could be breakfast for some "nice" critter. Only 6 weeks until the HM so you'd better get out there.

    Actively thinking about different plans of action is a very important tool. There will always be things that get in the way so learning to deal with them is huge. Good luck! emoticon

    emoticon Just exercising in the bedroom should be great! That portable DVD player may just surprise you!! You will be able to get in those workouts without your too hot weather...Hubby is in my prayers!

    I use my laptop in my bedroom for exercise dvds when DH is home on the weekend. Works fine, not as good as a bigger screen, but if you know the routines, it's fine.
