Living the Good Life Blog #2

Sunday, March 03, 2013

Thanks for responding with some great suggestions to my previous blog about eating cleaner and reducing processed foods. I think it's time to dust off the crock pot and find some new recipes. That is one thing my husband doesn't mind using to prepare dinner. I just popped over to one of my favorite slowcooker recipe sites. It was showcasing a lima bean soup. Oh my gosh, my husband and I were just commenting about how the lima bean is probably our most hated vegetable..err, legume. For that reason alone, I think I need to try this recipe and see if it really does redeem the ill-fated lima bean!

Gotta run, so I can check out some of the resources people suggested and make my grocery list for the week! Ciao!

Please review this recipe on your page. I have never really cared for lima beans either. But I am willing to give them a second chance.

Let us know how it turns out. I like taking risks with ingredients I don't usually like. And the slow cooker really makes it an adventure. The time it takes really builds the anticipation, just to see if this time it'll be better.

Let us know how it turns out. I've been trying some foods that I thought I didn't like for years and have found that whatever the old memory I held was no longer true. Actually have added some new things back into my diet. So good luck and enjoy.

I will have to try this as well. I do like lima beans.

However, I better remember them, because they used them for markers when playing Bingo back many years ago. LOL
