Today I went on a 6 mile run, but the plan was to get in 10 or 11. At 2.78 miles into the run a little chihuahua came running up to me and started running with me. Now, I am not an animal lover, but this little doggie seemed like he/she needed something and I was compelled to stop. I went to knock on the door of the house where I seen the dog running away from, and there was no answer. So, I picked up the dog, and to my surprise he/she let me and was not scared, did not pee and embraced me carrying him/her. The owners of the house did not answer, so I hunted down a neighbor who seemed to not be concerned. I ended up placing the dog in the bed of a truck that was parked in the driveway of the home. Then I took the dog out of the back of the truck because he/she did not seem happy to be back there. So I placed the dog in front of the home because the neighbor told me he never seen that dog before and the dog has been trying to get into that house all morning. I walked around the corner and left the dog on the porch. As I turned the corner, I just did not feel comfortable about the whole situation and had resolved with myself to take the dog with me and come back out later when the parents were home. By the time I got back around the corner to retrieve the dog, the same neighbor that said he had never seen that dog before, had put the dog in the yard of the home. So, I decided to continue on my run. By mile 5.5, I had to go to the bathroom so bad, I was trying so hard to put it out of my mind and I just could not. The urge had gotten so bad that I gave up at mile 6. Well, one thing I can say is, this run was definitely one that I would remember.
