Don't Feel Much Like Blogging These Days...

Saturday, March 02, 2013

I've lost 6.4 lbs so far this year.

My brain says "You're still losing, dummy!"

My heart says "You need to try harder."

What I've been good on:

1.Eating (staying within range 80% of the time, and when I go over, it's not by much. Except that one day I didn't realize the recipe made 6 servings until I'd already eaten 1/4 of it.)
2. Sleep (I get 7-8 hours a night of fairly good, uninterrupted sleep)
3. Water (I get an average of 14 glasses these days. Today it was a whopping 22.)

What I'm not doing so hot on:

1. Exercise (Soooo not motivated. I've been doing mostly strength training, with 30DS level 2 once a week.)
2. Feeling inspired (Winter doldrums, although the happy light has helped immensely. I just want it to be warm so I can spend time outside!!!)
3. Blogging (I don't like writing when I'm feeling glum. There's nothing really wrong.)
4. Skin problems. Some of them are clearing up with the meds I'm on, some of the areas don't seem affected at all.

So I guess, all in all, I'm losing, but slowly. I haven't lost many inches in the last few months either. I want to get back to walks around the neighborhood once it warms up enough.

Short term goals:
1. Get to 190 by my 32nd birthday on May 19th.
2. Cardio 3x a week as it warms up.
3. Get a frickin' haircut, you hippie!
4. Have skin cleared up so people don't think I'm an infectious freak when I wear a bathing suit.

6.4 is greater than... ZERO. hahaha. I feel you, though. I am having early-year blues and blahs myself. Hang in there!

I feel like I could have written this blog. I only lost 4 lbs this year and I keep telling myself that it will get better once ait warms up a bit. I don't even need a big warmup, I am just asking for like 45 degrees and a tiny bit of sun. I cannot wait until Spring!

I'm right there with you about blogging. It is a March goal for me to blog more. Less dark time usually helps me too. I am starting to see the change in day light, so that is helping me a bit more too.

I'd rather hear a "meh" blog post than none at all. We all have those days/weeks when we just aren't in the mood. For me, it's worse that my hubby in on SP too, which means he reads my blog, so no venting without having to explain or soothe bruised feelings later. Gah.

Keep on blogging. I love to hear your thoughts!

I think I would maybe reseach on water intake. It may be an urban myth, but I do remember hearing of kidney failure from too-high water intake. It's worth checking out to know for sure.

3.2 lbs average per month is right on for keeping it off! When Spring finally rolls in you will be kicking average" to the curb, no doubt.
You've got this.

I hear you. I don't like to blog unless I feel like I can be cute and clever, and sometimes I am just feeling meh, and don't want to do it. I would guess though, that those are probably the times when blogging would be most helpful.

Can you bundle up and walk outside? As long as it is not icy, you should be fine, and I always find that cold, brisk air lifts my mood. (of course, sitting on my butt with a blanket over me and a cup of cocoa lifts my mood too...)

Spring will be here soon!

ST is great. Find soomething else that you like to do that's not dependent on the weather. We had snow flurries today while I was at the farmer's market. My house STILL smells amazing!!

Have you tried 5 minutes of walking per day, as a start? Is there a YMCA or health club in your area?

I'm no medical expert, but your water intake seems excessive.

Sounds like you're making progress, but it's slow. Hang in there.

You are doing it!
