Benefits of Doing a Spark Challenge

Saturday, March 02, 2013

Well, I completed my very first Spark Challenge successfully! emoticon
I did the Spring into Shape Bootcamp Challenge which I would highly recommend if you haven't done a challenge on Spark OR you want to raise the bar for yourself as we head into spring.
There were many benefits to starting and COMPLETING a Spark Challenge.
emoticon I found myself excited to go on a new adventure which spurred me to stick with the directions for each week and to communicate with other people doing the same challenge.
emoticon It was hard at first doing the different toning exercises on Spark, but as each week passed I felt myself getting stronger in my different muscle groups. ALSO, doing the 10 minute toning exercises were so achievable because I reasoned with myself that I could squeeze these in everyday no matter how busy I was...AND I DID! (except for 2 days where I had a virus, but then I just picked back up and finished) I toned my body for almost 28 days straight. Incredible!
emoticon My reward for the month was a fitbit. My hubby actually got one for me in mid February, so I started using it and I found that I wanted to move more to see that step number get bigger. I EVEN walked over 10,000 steps on one of my days so far. I plan to do it more and more!
emoticon Each week something was added to amp up the challenge and to make it different. Because it was a challenge and I was talking to others doing it too, I definately put more into my exercise and eating and staying extremely steady for each and everyday.
emoticon Not only did I feel victorious about myself, but I also saw a difference on the scale too!
emoticon I am currently making plans for the next challenge during this month of March. I think I've got it, but I'll be certain on Monday. I plan on sharing my next challenge on my next blog post.
emoticon Perhaps, all of us Sparkers should jump on the Challenge Train! It rekindles your focus on health, it spices it up, and your body gets toned, stronger, and you loose weight.
WE SHOULD DEFINATELY TAKE A SPARK CHALLENGE! emoticon

Being on a great team is the key for me. The instructions are great; the videos are great, but doing it together, as you said, with a team that communicates with one another really inspires me on. emoticon and best wishes!

I loved my first spark challenge, but dropped the ball on the 2nd one. They are definitely GREAT tools for those months you need some ideas or motivation, or are just bored with your regular routine.
Sounds like you did GREAT on this challenge! So glad to hear it has sparked you! Looking forward to hearing about the next one in your blog.
