Well, the kids are still complaining but I'm not sure why. The food has been delicious. It just looks different .. No bars, no puffs, no tubes. Just real food!
Friday looked like this:
Breakfast: eggs, turkey sausage, and a whole lot of kale. A handful of berries (similar to our usual breakfast, just no toast) Oh yeah, coffee - black. I'm kind of getting used to that though.
Lunch: Chili made with ground beef, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, etc. served over a bed of baby spinach. Half an apple
Dinner: Pan fried steak with a mocha rub (was delicious!) and big salad with homemade dressing. The boys also had potato fries.
Snacks were nuts with dried and fresh fruit - only the boys got snacks since I didn't work out. Extra meals must be earned!
Saturday was full of good stuff too:
Breakfast: Hash made with egg, sweet potatoes coconut, and apple. It was good - I swear!
Lunch: Big salad with avocado, roast beef and homemade dressing. Half an apple.
Dinner: Roasted chicken with green beans and carrots.
Also, I did manage a 35 minute run so I had a few nuts pre- and dish of leftover chili post-workout.
I'm tracking my workouts but not logging my food. According to the plan, no logging or counting calories. Kind of scary! I figure I will give it a week and if my weight goes up then back to logging. I'm not focused on losing weight with this challenge, but I don't want to gain!
