What Is Wrong With Me?

Saturday, March 02, 2013

What is wrong with me? I was full of motivation, drive and energy to lose this weight in December and January. I lost 6 pounds in January. Februay came, I lost 1 pound. Not 1 pound a week...ONE POUND the entire month. No one to blame but me. The winter blahs settled in. I didn't walk every day. I didn't track my food everyday. I wasn't as careful with my food choices......UGGGH emoticon

I'm just venting. I thought maybe if I laid it out in words I could get my act together!

You know how to get through a binge or a mini set back? Fake it until you make it... pretend you NEVER went off, I got myself back on track doing that... I told myself I was STILL doing hardcore and it worked.

What are you willing to do TODAY to get move you closer to your goal? That's it....that's all you have to do. Do it TODAY. And when you wake up tomorrow do it again. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Don't think about the future. Just do what you can TODAY. You said your plan was to walk 15 mins/day and write down what you're eating. If you can do it for one day you will achieve your goal.

Awww, it's okay, Dee! The way you're feeling right now is the way MOST people who've opted for a change in the way they eat and/or exercise feel along about now. You're with lots of good company - in fact, the majority of people looking for a behavior change out there. I'd give you a HUGE pat on the back for those 46.5 lbs. lost within the time frame of just one year - that's an enormous achievement! It does get slower with time, but that's okay - it's permanent change we're all seeking. You can most definitely do this! And we can all recommit to our goals on any day...and at any moment. You're entitled, too!! emoticon

ummm, you are still on SP, you are still checking in here and are reading... you are really still working the program... slow yes, I weighed the same since NOV!! and dug deep, kicked up the exercise a tad more, recalculated some goals (especially exercise) and this week I lost 3 lbs... You too can do this... its a science, do your research, commit and it'll all happen. I've been on my journey almost a year and I've lost 46.5 lbs... again, commit, dig deep and make it happen!

If I can do this, believe everyone can!

Good luck

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again! It happens once in awhile but don't let it get you down!
