A new twist to the same goals....

I was reading in a fitness magazine today that healthy people aim for 7 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. And then there was an article on superfoods. My twist is to aim for 7 servings a day, superfoods. Looking at the list, I don't see a fruit or veggie that is not on it. I usually do the plate method and don't count servings but I am going to try and focus on this for a while. Simply put, it's two servings per meal, plus snacks. It means fruit with my yogurt, apples with my oatmeal. Salad means lettuce plus the rainbow. Dinner is two cooked veggies, and one cold veggie. Snacks means a piece of fruit plus some protein, or smoothies- think of the number of servings in a smoothie!

I did an extra long walk on the treadmill today, to average out my lower step days this week. Now I am very tired, but I have to go to the store, and church before I can call this day over....
