I figured I should update this blog so you guys would know I didn't fall off the wagon after New Year's. School has been kicking my butt this quarter, primarily one online class in Medical Insurance. I have a tremendous amount of homework to do, but I am still managing to track my calories (1200-ish) and exercise.
I am running more and more on the treadmill lately. I break it up (Run 3 minutes, walk 2, run 3, etc.) I feel very awkward doing this in front of people, but what the hell? Yes I jiggle in places I shouldn't, but I have to do what's good for me - not what looks good to everyone else.
Today, a woman at my gym complimented me on being able to run on the treadmill. She said that if she tried it, she would lose her equilibrium and fall off. I am lucky that I've never had that problem, but her comment sure made me feel good. I just need to keep pushing myself to develop better stamina. I'd love to be able to run a full mile. One of these days perhaps.
Today I am at 231 lbs which is not a huge loss from Jan-Feb, but it is still progress. I am more comfortable in my size 18 jeans and I am looking forward to warmer weather, shorts and flip flops. It is snowing in Alabama today. How weird is that? Hurry up, Spring Break!
