New habit

One healthy habit that I'd like to try and improve would be to increase my daily fruits and veggies. I go through periods where I'm really good but other times where I'm really bad. Today I was good and added blueberries to my cereal. But lunch was Mexican and lettuce on my tacos really doesn't count.

    This is me too. I can over do the freggies. Then not have any or enough for a while. I'm challenging myself to cover half of my plate at dinner with freggies.

    Great Job -- I am not the best veggie eater and I am trying to get better about it. It is kind of nice to know that I am not the only one who struggles.

    This is a great goal and habit. You will learn different ways to eat veggies too. We even put celery, broccoli and green peppers on pizza or in casseroles.

    Great blog Erin. I have to work on this also. Do you have "Fruit My Cube" in your area? I am going to bite the bullet and have fruit and veggies delivered to my office so they'll be handy for snacking! emoticon

    I like to roast a bunch of veggies.....cauliflower, broccoli, onions, carrots, sweet potatoes, asparagus, peppers, etc., whatever I have around at 425 degrees for about 30 minutes. I put them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and spray them with olive oil, and season them and turn them about half way in.

When they are cool, I put them in storage containers, and snack on them or heat them in the microwave with dinner! Fantastic, and sooooo good!

    I do way better eating my fruits & veggies during the week. I have a KILLER salad every day for lunch & at least two servings of fruits while I'm at work. Then veggies with dinner. Its the weekends where I struggle - I don't always get veggies except for dinner but I still get a couple of fruits in.

    I've had two fruits today. Hope for a couple of veggies at dinner. 4 is better than 2 or 3 and I'm glad about that. have a good day.
