Well, there seems to be something about the spring that leads me to check in here, since I notice that my last blog was a year ago yesterday. :)
Wow, a year seems like a long time, considering how much happened last year!
I lost that last 10 pounds I wanted to lose via (1) giving up alcohol for Lent and (2) a medical issue in the spring. Nothing serious, but it made me lose the last few pounds.
Then I gained it back over Christmas, LOL. So I'm back sort-of where I started last year, but I am proud that that is ALL I gained back. I don't like having this extra 10 pounds on me (makes my jeans not fit right, hehe) so I am thinking that my first spring project may be to reboot my healthy diet and lose the rest of it.
Other things that happened last year: My first race in the spring, followed by four races in the fall. No medals for me yet, but I am still going to work on that. I also went through a breakup, met someone, broke up with him, and met someone else. Who I am with at the moment; cross fingers that will continue if it is meant to! :)
I have been feeling a bit fish-out-of-water the last couple of months. Some of that is just me getting sick of winter, I guess. Some of it is that I need new goals. So I thought I'd get on here and MAKE SOME. The wonderful thing about Spark is that the energy here is so amazing. Just getting on here and participating is amazing and so helpful.
So here are my new goals (the first three):
Goal #1. Revitalize my attitude towards healthy diet and fitness by logging into Spark every day for the next week and participating on the message boards at least with one post.
Goal #2. Install the Spark app on my smartphone.
Goal #3. Pick up the phone and call that personal trainer and make the appointment that I've been "meaning to" make for a long time now.
Awesome! I am excited - I can do this, because I know how to do this. Baby steps. It's time to take my positive attitude back and take my fitness to the next level.
