The Zoo Story

Saturday, March 02, 2013

Is a play by Edward Albee. I had to read it as part of my american lit class in high school. I remember a line that has always stuck with me when your 15 very few things make you ponder what they mean on a deeper level. I guess I was strange maybe I still am. I was always a deep thinker. I preached my first sermon at the county juvenile home when I was 14. I didn't know it but at that moment I was starting a journey that would lead me to same place the character Jerry in the play was at. Jerry's line that always stayed with me,"Sometimes you have to go along way out of your way to come back a short distance correctly. I find myself living that statement now not just physically but for a lack of a better term spirituality as well.

Dude!! How true is that quote?? After a highly successful 2012 ....so much so I took myself off of spark in a sense of overwhelming confidence....I started taking some physical hits that have me feeling EXACTLY like the quote emoticon

I wanted to thank you for sharing...it does help to hear that I am not alone in the, often frustrating, battle/journey.

That's a great quote - I think all people who examine the path of their lives could say the same thing.

You are deeper than I am. I "studied Albee" in college, and he was a mystery to me.

"Sometimes you have to go along way out of your way to come back a short distance correctly"

    sounds good

    Another term? "Intellectually"?

Sometimes, I think I get too preachy in my blogs ...
