How Do I Do This?

Saturday, March 02, 2013

How do I make more time in a day? I imagine that is the question many of you have! I have limited time I can be on my feet because of the painful osteoporosis. After about 30 min. max of being on my feet, I am bent over so far I am looking at the floor and supporting myself on objects as I try to keep going. My back hurts and burns. I have to take a break before I can get going again. Because of this, my poor house is going to have to be shoveled out! emoticon Besides all that, I have my regular daily routines to take care of. I am a widow, raising one of my grandchildren, homeschooling her. She is 13yo, a "lovely age", if you know what I mean. One of my daughters has to shuttle us to town for shopping "at their convenience", so that is a little stressful. It seems I just have a little too much on my plate, but can't seem to find "me time" very often. I haven't gotten to retire, sit and crochet and read, be a grandma instead of a "mom" etc. Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks team mates!! emoticon

I have a lot of respect for you raising your granddaugher. I can relate to the pain and bing a widow I raised 3 children as a widow, i have neuropathy in my legs and feet and hands. It is very hard with the pain to take care of others. I did chair exercises when I first got started exercisin and progressed to walking short distances until I couldn't so anymore. Resistance bands are great to exercise with. As far as finding some you time get up a little earlier in the morning and do things you like to do or stay up a little later. I wish you all the best.

Sounds as if you have your hands full. As you find exercise on your feet so hard, perhaps chair exercises would help. I used them after I had my last foot operation until I could walk properly and exercise again. Have a great weekend. emoticon emoticon

We had our granddaughter almost full time for a year and it was so hard. I hated getting her off to school and doing homework. I wanted to play games and bake cookies and make all those happy memories. Fortunately, her situation resolved and she was able to go back home to her mom. One of the best things that came out of that is that she knows no matter what happens we will always be in her corner and I hope that your grandchild knows that about you. All you can do is your best and it sounds like you are doing it. God's peace be with you!
